This post explores my first time working with linocut carving to create many of the stamps frequently used throughout my clothing designs.

I began by selecting a drawing from my sketchbook that I thought would be interesting to carve and stamp. For my first stamp I went with this sketch titled "The Ripple Effect", which was inspired by the ripple effect that small acts of kindness can have on a person during a time where most people felt isolated.

I transfered the drawing to a block of soft linoleum and carved the outline by hand.

Finally I was able to coat the stamp in textile ink and transfer it onto multiple different garments. I repeated this process to create many stamps and canvas prints featured in my shop.
